CAIRO, November 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s firm position that the two-state solution is the only way to achieve lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.

This came during his meeting today, Thursday, with his South Korean counterpart, President Lee Jae-myung, according to a statement issued by Egyptian Presidency spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy.

The statement said the meeting reviewed Egypt’s efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the related UN Security Council resolution.

For his part, the South Korean president praised Egypt’s pivotal role in promoting peace and supporting stability in the Middle East, particularly President Sisi’s efforts that led to ending the war in the Gaza Strip and hosting the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit, affirming his country’s support for the two-state solution and for the related Egyptian efforts.
