BRUSSLES, November 20, 2025 (WAFA) — On the sidelines of the Palestine Donor Group (PDG) meeting in Brussels, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa held separate meetings with Swiss State Secretary Alexandre Fasel and Japan’s
Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Eri Arfiya.
The meetings were also attended by Omar Awadallah, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political and Legal Affairs, and Amal Jadou Shakaa, Palestine’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union.
During the meetings, Prime Minister Mustafa reviewed the Government’s ongoing efforts in institutional reform and development, as well as the implementation program of the Arab Recovery and Reconstruction Plan for the Gaza Strip, which includes 56 sub-programs across 18 sectors, including housing, social services, infrastructure, economy, and governance.
He expressed appreciation for Switzerland’s support to Palestine across various fields, calling on it to play a greater role in the next phase, particularly in Gaza’s recovery and reconstruction, and stressing the importance of Switzerland’s recognition of the State of Palestine.
Mustafa also praised Japan’s steadfast political support for the two-State solution, as well as its financial, developmental, and capacity-building assistance, in addition to its humanitarian and relief efforts for the Palestinian people in Gaza. He urged Japan to help pressure Israel to release the withheld Palestinian clearance revenues, and to recognize the State of Palestine as a step toward supporting and preserving the two-State solution.
