RAMALLAH, November 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Activists in Chicago and several other American cities have launched a campaign calling on the Illinois State Board of Investments (ISBI) to divest its funds from Motorola Solutions, a technology and communications company, due to its provision of technologies used to monitor Palestinians.
The call was made via social media, where activists shared a unified message urging the state body to "end the investment of public employee retirement funds in the Israeli occupation and military surveillance state."
The campaign, led by human rights organizations, seek to expose the extent of state investments in companies accused of supporting the occupation policies, with the aim of compelling these companies to cease their dealings with Israel.
