Jordan condemns arson attack on West Bank mosque by Israeli colonists

RAMALLAH, November 13, 2025 (WAFA) – The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the ongoing colonist attacks against the Palestinian people, most recently the arson attack on the Hajja Hamida Mosque in Salfit Governorate, holding Israel, the occupying power, responsible for these attacks.

In a press statement, the Ministry's official spokesperson, Fouad Majali, affirmed Jordan's absolute rejection of these attacks, which he described as an extension of the extremist policies of the Israeli government and the statements of its officials that fuel extremism and violence against the Palestinian people.

Majali warned against the continued violations in the West Bank and the ongoing restrictions imposed on Palestinians, which, coupled with settler attacks, threaten to ignite further violence and jeopardize the security and stability of the region.

He called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, and to compel Israel, the occupying power, to stop its dangerous escalation and settler attacks, and to fulfill the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent and sovereign state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, as the only way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees security and stability in the region.
