RAMALLAH, November 7, 2025 (WAFA) - Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa emphasized the importance of international support to enable the State of Palestine to fully assume its responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, restore unity with the West Bank, and ensure that international efforts support rather than replace Palestine’s role in managing the Strip.
The remarks came during his meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel today at his office in Ramallah, during which they discussed recent developments and international efforts to enable Palestine to fully exercise its responsibilities in Gaza.
Mustafa emphasized the need to intensify international pressure on Israel to halt its measures in the West Bank, including attacks by occupation forces and colonists, checkpoints, and other restrictions, and to release withheld Palestinian funds, while continuing efforts to sustain the ceasefire in Gaza.
They also discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, commending Dutch support for Palestine at all levels, both bilaterally and through the European Union, including backing the New York Declaration, the International Coalition for implementing a two-state solution, and the provision of humanitarian and relief aid to the Palestinian people.
For his part, the Dutch Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s support for efforts to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza, facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid, halt Israeli measures in the West Bank, and uphold the role of the Palestinian Authority in Gaza while restoring unity with the West Bank within the framework of achieving a two-state solution.
