RAMALLAH, October 27, 2025 (WAFA) -- Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen, met on Monday with Mexican Senator Gerardo Fernandez Noroña to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation and solidarity between Palestine and Mexico across various fields, including at the popular and parliamentary levels.
During the meeting held in Ramallah, Foreign Minister Shahin expressed her deep appreciation for the supportive stances of the Mexican government and people toward Palestine, specifically thanking Mexico for its steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people and its consistent support in international forums.
Shaheen briefed Senator Noroña on the latest developments in the Palestinian territory and the continuous Israeli violations.
She underscored the critical need to enable the Palestinian government to fully perform its responsibilities throughout all the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
She stressed the importance of Mexico and the international community adhering to the New York Document, Security Council Resolution 2334, and the outcomes of the International Court of Justice, affirming that these commitments are vital tools to support efforts aimed at achieving justice and international law.
For his part, Senator Noroña conveyed a message of solidarity from the Mexican government and people to the Palestinian people.
He reaffirmed Mexico's commitment to stand by legitimate Palestinian rights and commended the resilience of the Palestinian people.
