RAMALLAH, October 25, 2025 (WAFA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) called on Saturday for humanitarian aid to be allowed into the Gaza Strip.
According to UNRWA's official website, the agency stated in a post on X that as winter approaches in Gaza, people's need for shelter and warmth increases.
It added that shelter materials and winter supplies for displaced Palestinian families are available in UNRWA warehouses in Jordan and Egypt, but are being prevented from entering.
As the genocide enters its second year, displaced people are facing jarsh and unbearable conditions in tents that lack even the most basic means of protection. They are human beings searching for shelters, and several, especially children, have died as a result of the severe cold during the past two winters.
