OSLO, October 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shahin met with her Norwegian counterpart, Espen Barth Eide, during which she emphasized the importance of aligning U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip with the New York Statement and the principles of international law, stressing that such alignment represents a key element in ensuring the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

Minister Shahin also underlined the need for international efforts to focus on empowering the Palestinian National Authority as the legitimate and primary party in the “day-after” arrangements in the Gaza Strip.
