NEW YORK, September 24, 2025 (WAFA) – French President Emmanuel Macron said that if US President Donald Trump really wants the Nobel Peace Prize, he must end the war in Gaza.

In a press interview on Tuesday evening from New York, he added that only Trump has the power to pressure Israel to end this war.

He continued, "There is only one person who can do something about this, and that is the president of the United States. The reason he can do more than we can is that we do not supply weapons that enable war in Gaza. We do not provide equipment that enables war in Gaza. The United States does this."

Commenting on Trump's speech at the United Nations, Macron said, "I see an American president who is engaged in this matter. He repeated this morning from the podium: 'I want peace. I have resolved seven conflicts,' and he wants the Nobel Peace Prize. This prize can only be obtained by ending this conflict."
