NEW YORK, July 19, 2025, WAFA- A coalition of advocacy organizations and fan groups called on European football associations to boycott the Israeli national football team and its players, months before the start of the World Cup.

A billboard was erected in New York City, which is scheduled to host eight matches in next year's World Cup, including the final. Canada and Mexico co-host the quadrennial global tournament with the United States.

The campaign calls on the football associations of Belgium, England, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Scotland, and Spain to boycott the Israeli national team and ban Israeli players from participating in local competitions, in protest against the ongoing war of extermination in the Gaza Strip.
