MADRID, September 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Spain has joined four other countries in threatening to withdraw from the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest if Israel participates, in protest against its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip that has been ongoing for nearly two years.
According to Spanish television, Spain has decided to withdraw from the Eurovision Music Festival if Israel participates.
The Netherlands joined Ireland, Slovenia, and Iceland a few days ago in threatening to withdraw from the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest if Israel participates.
