RIYADH, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) - Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, arrived today, Sunday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on an official visit aimed at holding consultations and coordinating positions with the Saudi leadership.
"During his visit, Al-Sheikh is scheduled to discuss several political issues of mutual concern, foremost among them the latest developments in the Palestinian cause, efforts to halt the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, anticipated developments regarding the recognition of the State of Palestine in September, and ways to bolster the unified Arab position in addressing current regional and international challenges.
This visit comes as part of the ongoing communication between the State of Palestine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and continued coordination to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to establish an independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
