JERUSALEM, August 26, 2025 (WAFA) – The European Union spokesperson said Tuesday that the killing of five journalists, four healthcare workers, and several civilians in Gaza yesterday in an Israeli airstrike targeting Nasser Hospital, which left at least 20 dead, is completely unacceptable.
In a statement, the spokesperson emphasized that civilians and journalists must be protected under international law, reiterating the EU’s call for Israel to respect international humanitarian law and ensure investigations into such attacks.
The EU expressed its solidarity with the victims' families, the press community, and all civilians in Gaza who continue to pay a heavy price.
