AMMAN, August 21, 2025 (WAFA) - King Abdullah II of Jordan emphasized the need to intensify efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid across Gaza, praising Japan’s contributions to supporting humanitarian efforts in the Strip.
His remarks came during a meeting with Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani, where the two addressed the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the escalating tensions in the West Bank.
The talks also covered prospects for strengthening military and defense ties between Jordan and Japan.
For his part, Minister Nakatani expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s key role in fostering peace and stability throughout the Middle East.
