LONDON, August 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Britain expressed its dismay over Israel's revocation of the visas of Australian diplomats to Palestine, stressing that this decision "only serves to undermine avenues for dialogue and diplomacy."

The British Foreign Office Spokesperson explained in a statement that the Israeli government's decision to revoke the visas of Australian representatives is "counterproductive."

He added that this decision "only serves to close off avenues for dialogue and diplomacy, which are absolutely essential to achieving a long-term solution for both Israelis and Palestinians."

He continued: "We are working with our allies, including Australia, to develop a peace framework for the next steps in the Gaza Strip and for a two-state solution."

He added: "The first step must be an immediate ceasefire, the release of all prisoners, and increased humanitarian aid."
