RAMALLAH, August 18, 2025 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the provocative colonial raid carried out yesterday by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu into the Ofra colony, which is located on occupied Palestinian land.
The ministry also condemned the statements he made regarding what he called his adherence to the land and his boasting about his role in rejecting the Palestinian state and obstructing its establishment.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry considered Netanyahu's statements to be an attempt to perpetuate the racist colonial occupation as a link in the crimes of genocide, displacement, and annexation.
It said the statement also provides cover and encouragement for colonists' terrorist elements to commit further attacks against Palestinian citizens, their land, and their property. It also disregards international responses to colonies and colonists' crimes, and constitutes official Israeli attempts to maintain the cycle of violence and war.
The Ministry called on countries and the international community to deal with the utmost seriousness with the calls and positions calling for the annexation of the West Bank, as they came from ministers in the occupation government, its prime minister, members of the ruling Likud party, the so-called heads of colonial councils, and others. It called on them to mobilize further recognition of the State of Palestine and enable it to obtain full membership in the United Nations.
It also called on them to escalate international and European measures to protect the two-state solution and impose further sanctions on the entire colonial occupation system.
Foremost among these is the need to intensify international pressure to achieve an immediate halt to the crimes of genocide, starvation, displacement, and annexation, and to immediately implement the New York Declaration.
