RAMALLAH, August 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa is scheduled to meet today, Sunday, with his Egyptian counterpart, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, during an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The discussions will focus on joint efforts to halt Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and preparations for the International Conference on Gaza Reconstruction, to be convened immediately following a ceasefire.
The two sides will also review joint plans to ensure a rapid response to humanitarian relief, economic recovery, and reconstruction—aimed at thwarting displacement schemes.
Prime Minister Mustafa will also meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty at the Cabinet headquarters in New Alamein City. Their meeting will focus on the catastrophic humanitarian and medical situation in Gaza, Egypt’s ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire, and ensuring the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
On Monday, Prime Minister Mustafa and Foreign Minister Abdelatty will hold a joint press conference at the Rafah Border Crossing, following a field visit to the crossing area and warehouses designated for humanitarian and relief aid destined for Gaza. The visit will also include a tour of the field hospital operating in the area.
