OIC slams Netanyahu's statements, warns of its dangerous consequences

JEDDAH, August 14, 2025 (WAFA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the provocative statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the so-called "Greater Israel Vision," considering them an extension of his rhetoric of extremism, incitement, aggression, and disregard for the sovereignty of states, as well as a blatant violation of the principles of international law, the UN Charter, and its relevant resolutions.

The OIC stressed that these aggressive statements aim to evade Israel's international obligations as an occupying power and to continue violating the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.

It warned of the danger of this expansionist colonial discourse, which poses a threat to regional and international security and peace, and fuels the cycle of violence, widens the conflict, and prolongs it in the region.

The OIC called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to shoulder its responsibilities in confronting these aggressive policies, and to take decisive action to halt Israeli aggression, implement the two-state solution, and end the illegal occupation of the Palestinian and Arab territories occupied since 1967, as this is the basis for achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in the region.
