Tajikistan’s Deputy Head of Ruling Party reaffirms support for Palestinian statehood

RAMALLAH, August 9, 2025 (WAFA) – The First Deputy Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), the ruling party in the Republic of Tajikistan, Maliksho Nemat Zoda, reiterated the strong historical ties between Palestine and Tajikistan.

Nematzoda affirmed the Republic's continued support for Palestinian rights and the establishment of an Palestinian state on the 1967 borders.

During his meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Tajikistan, Adham Zainuddin, at the party's new headquarters in the capital, Dushanbe, Zoda stressed the need to end the war in Palestine as soon as possible and achieve peace and stability in the Middle East.

He also highlighted the firm and clear stance of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in support of the rights of the Palestinian people.

Ambassador Zainuddin, for his part, briefed the delegation on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena, particularly in light of the ongoing Israeli campaign of extermination.

He stressed that the defenseless Palestinian people are subjected to a systemic genocide, including a policy of slow death by starving and depriving citizens, in addition to rapid deaths resulting from bombing, killing, and destruction aimed at exacting revenge on the Gaza population.

He stated that what is happening in the Gaza Strip is a historic event for which the entire world bears responsibility, especially the countries with influence over the occupying state.

He warned of the suffering of Palestinian detainees  inside Israeli jails, who are suffering from oppression, starvation, and violations of their rights. He also emphasized the need to stop the theft of Palestinian funds and natural resources, halt attacks on Christian and Islamic religious sites, and halt the theft of land, the construction of colonies, and the displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank.

He underscored that the primary goal of Israeli policies is to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state on Palestinian lands, a clear example of this through killing, annexation, and displacement.
