BEIJING, August 8, 2025 (WAFA) – China expressed concern on Friday over the Israeli decision to fully reoccupy the Gaza Strip.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Geng Shuang, said that Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and is an integral part of the Palestinian Territory.

He affirmed that an immediate ceasefire is the best way to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and described it as the key to a comprehensive resolution of the conflict. He stressed that only this can pave the way to end the conflict and preserve stability in the region.

The Ministry spokesperson also expressed China’s readiness to work with the international community to stop the war in Gaza as soon as possible, alleviate the humanitarian disaster, implement the two-state solution, and achieve a comprehensive, just, and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue.
