NEW YORK, July 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa welcomed the speech delivered by UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy during the plenary session of the High-Level UN International Conference on the peaceful settlement of the Question of Palestine and the implementation of the two-state solution, held at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York.
In his address, Lammy affirmed that the United Kingdom bears a special responsibility regarding the two-state solution, described the aid mechanism in Gaza as a slap in the face to the United Nations, and stressed that decisions on Palestine cannot remain "ink on paper."
He also reiterated his country’s intention to recognize the State of Palestine in September.
