AMMAN, May 27, 2025 – WAFA – Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, reaffirmed the importance of broader international recognition of the State of Palestine as a reaffirmation of the commitment to the two-state solution.

His remarks came during an expanded round of talks held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen. The discussions centered on bilateral relations and the evolving developments in the region.

Safadi and Valtonen reviewed ongoing efforts to reach a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and to ensure the immediate and sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip.

They also discussed regional and international efforts aimed at ensuring that the outcomes of the upcoming international conference, scheduled to be jointly chaired by Saudi Arabia and France in New York next month, contribute to advancing a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
