France condemns Israel’s decision to ban two French delegations from entering Israel, calls it regrettable

PARIS, April 29, 2025 (WAFA) – The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned Israel's decision to block the entry of two French delegations that were scheduled to visit Israel and the Palestinian Territory.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry announced that the two delegations, associated with the Decentralized Cooperation Network for Palestine or the France-Palestine Solidarity Association (AFPS), were prevented from traveling to Israel and the Palestinian Territory.

The ministry described the cancellation of the visas for members of the delegations, who were due to visit between April 30 and May 5, as regrettable, counterproductive and harmful to relations.

The statement stressed: “The public accusations by the Israeli Embassy in France alleging links between these associations and terrorist organizations are unacceptable.”

The statement called on Israel to reverse its decisions, which it said punish those working for lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

On April 21, Tel Aviv had also revoked the visas of 27 French lawmakers and officials just two days before their planned visit to Israel and the occupied West Bank.
