JERUSALEM, April 21, 2025 (WAFA) – The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territory, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, has issued a stark warning regarding the serious implications of a provocative video produced using artificial intelligence. The video, which depicts a shocking simulation of the demolition of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the construction of the so-called "Temple" in its place, is circulated under the title "Next Year in Jerusalem."

In an official statement, Sheikh Hussein strongly condemned what he described as blatant incitement targeting the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque. He stated that the video reflects the ideology of extremist colonial groups and colonialist organizations, whose incitement is increasingly being amplified amidst ongoing provocations at the holy site, including repeated incursions and provocative actions by extremists under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

The Grand Mufti held the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for the consequences of this dangerous campaign, stressing that such actions gravely provokes feelings of Muslims around the world.

Sheikh Hussein called on the international community and the free people of the world to take immediate and decisive measures to halt the ongoing violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque. He urged world leaders and decision-makers to adopt all necessary means to safeguard and prevent any harm to the holy site.
