PM Mustafa at ADF panel: We are facing displacement, war, settlement, and sanctions, yet committed to building a better future, realizing statehood

ANTALYA, April 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Mustafa Friday affirmed that the Palestinian people will prevail, despite facing relentless threats.

“Displacement, destruction, war, settlement, and economic sanctions are all threats we face—but our people will achieve victory,” said Mustafa. “For 77 years, our people have endured war, displacement, and devastation. What is happening in Gaza today is yet another chapter in our long journey toward Palestinian independence, lasting peace, and stability in the region.”

His remarks came during a high-level panel organized by the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Contact Group on the future of Gaza and Palestine, held Friday as part of the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, attended by diplomats, political leaders, academics, and journalists from around the world.

"While the war rages on in Gaza, our people in the West Bank—especially in refugee camps—are also subjected to displacement, financial and economic blockade, and intensified Israeli measures in East Jerusalem, the Prime Minister emphasized.

"Despite all these violations and attacks, our people continue their struggle for independence and remain steadfast in defending their land, no matter the cost," he added.

Mustafa further stressed that the Palestinian Government is doing everything in its power to prevent forced displacement and to lay the groundwork for a better future in the Gaza Strip, despite the grave conditions the Palestinian people are facing. This, he stressed, is part of a broader effort to realize a sovereign and independent Palestinian state.

Highlighting growing international recognition, Mustafa noted that 149 countries around the world have already recognized the State of Palestine, despite all efforts by the Israeli occupation to undermine the Palestinian cause.

“We are determined to reunify the West Bank and Gaza under one government and unified national institutions in the State of Palestine,” the Prime Minister affirmed, citing UN Security Council Resolution 2735, which affirms the Palestinian Authority’s responsibility over both Gaza and the West Bank.
