BERLIN, April 11, 2025 (WAFA) – German Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Assistance, Luise Amtsberg, stated that the Israeli army's distortion of the execution of paramedics in the Al-Hashashin area of Rafah on March 23 adds further tension to German-Israeli relations.
In her statement, Amtsberg said that the distortion of this incident exacerbates tensions in German-Israeli relations, as the Israeli army targets people even when they are helping those in need, stressing that such brutality is intolerable.
She added that a video showed the paramedics killed by Israeli soldiers were wearing distinctive rescue vests with blue lights and flashing beacons.
Amtsberg emphasized that this crime is a violation of international law and must not go unpunished. She called for a swift and independent investigation, urging that the perpetrators be brought to justice as quickly as possible.
