NEW YORK, April 3, 2025 (WAFA) – The United Nations Security Council is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting this afternoon to discuss the worsening situation in Palestine, following a request from Algeria.
The meeting comes as Israel continues its military aggression in both the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank. Algeria's call for an urgent session follows a sharp escalation in Israeli settler violence in the West Bank.
The Security Council's deliberations are expected to focus on the ongoing Israeli military attacks in Gaza and the increasing attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank, which have sparked widespread concern among international observers.
