AMMAN, March 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Jordan’s Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, said on Monday that “Jordan's diplomatic efforts to cease Israeli aggression in Gaza and to halt unlawful Israeli activities in the West Bank remain continuous,” as reported by Jordan’s Petra news agency.
During a Lower House of Parliament session, Minister Safadi stated that Israel violated the terms of the exchange agreement, which was brokered through Egyptian, Qatari, and American mediation, and subsequently resumed its military aggression in Gaza, said Petra.
He also mentioned that Israel halted the delivery of humanitarian, medical, and food assistance to Gaza at the start of this month.
Minister Safadi emphasized that these actions “constitute a clear breach of the exchange agreement.” He also revealed that the agreement involved setting up a joint operations center between Egypt and Qatar, responsible for overseeing compliance with its terms.
Data from this center shows that over 900 Israeli ceasefire violations were recorded during the past 40 days.
