LONDON, March 21, 2025 (WAFA) - France condemned the March 19th attack on a United Nations building in the Gaza Strip that killed one UNOPS employee and seriously wounded several others. France offers its condolences to the victim’s loved ones and to the UN, and wishes those injured a speedy recovery.

“This very serious incident must be thoroughly investigated to determine those responsible,” said a statement made by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs Spokesperson.

“The protection of humanitarian personnel, who have already paid a very heavy toll in Gaza, must be guaranteed in all circumstances in line with international humanitarian law.”

France also applauded the work of UN programs, funds and agencies, including UNRWA, that provide assistance to populations in the Gaza Strip and throughout the world.
