PARIS, March 21, 2025 (WAFA) – French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot Friday stated that his country opposes ‘any form of annexation’ of the Gaza Strip.

"France is opposed to any form of annexation whether it concerns the West Bank or the Gaza Strip,” Foreign Minister Barrot told reporters in the eastern city of Dijon.

“We have a very clear vision of the future of the region -- a solution of two (Israeli and Palestinian) states living side-by-side in peace," he added.

His remarks came in response to Israeli ‘Defense’ Minister Israel Katz’s warning that the occupation forces would permanently seize and annex territory in Gaza purportedly if captives were not freed.
