Italy voices grave concern over renewed Israeli aggression on Gaza

ROME, March 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, Wednesday voiced grave concern over renewed Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, reported Agenzia Nova.

Speaking during an event at the De Gasperi Foundation in Rome, Tajani said: “We are very concerned about what is happening in Gaza and we want negotiations to resume as soon as possible to reach the second phase of the ceasefire.”

He stressed the need to reach the second phase of the ceasefire as soon as possible in order “for the Palestinian people to receive all the necessary goods.”

“Our Food for Gaza project continues, which has also led to the reception of sick Palestinian children in Italy,” the minister said.

He pointed out that Italy backs the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, and reiterated: “We have a very clear position: two peoples, two states.”
