GENEVA, March 18, 2025 (WAFA) – The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk Tuesday voiced his horror over Israel’s resumption of aerial attacks and violent bombardment in the Gaza Strip.
The ongoing bombardment has resulted in at least 400 fatalities, with over 500 others injured, including women and children. Additionally, numerous people remain trapped under the rubble of targeted buildings.
In a statement, Türk went on to say, "I am appalled by the Israeli airstrikes and shelling on Gaza last night, which killed hundreds, according to the Ministry of Health in the Strip. This will add tragedy to tragedy."
