CAIRO, March 4, 2025 (WAFA) – King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa said Tuesday that holding on to the path of lasting and comprehensive peace is the only guarantee for the Palestinian people to attain their legitimate historical rights to self-determination, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent national state.

Speaking before and chairing the Arab summit in Cairo, Al Khalifa emphasized that this must be based on the two-state solution, as affirmed by the Arab Peace Initiative, all United Nations resolutions, subsequent Arab plans, and the decisions of this summit.

He affirmed his rejection of any attempts and proposals aimed at the forced displacement of the Palestinian people or at consolidating Israeli settler-colonialism, while commending Egypt’s initiative on the Gaza Strip.

He called for supporting the Egyptian initiative given its contribution to strengthening fraternal ties, safeguarding national security, and enhancing the collective ability to address the challenges to the common Arab interests in a way that preserves development achievements and ensure pathways for progress and prosperity.
