JEDDAH, March 3, 2025 (WAFA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned Israel’s decision to halt the entry of humanitarian aid and completely close all border crossings leading to the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued on Monday, the OIC stressed that these unlawful measures constitute a violation of international humanitarian law, the Fourth Geneva Convention and relevant United Nations resolutions.
The illegal Israeli blockade on Gaza amounts to collective punishment and a crime against humanity, warranting accountability under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, the statement read.
The OIC further called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take immediate action to end Israel’s ongoing crimes and violations in the occupied Palestinian Territory and to ensure the unrestricted and sustained delivery of humanitarian aid across all areas of Gaza.
