AMMAN, March 3, 2025 (WAFA) - The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs has strongly condemned Israel’s decision to halt humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza and close border crossings, calling it a blatant violation of international law, humanitarian law, and the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, which protects civilians during wartime, said Jordan’s official news agency, Petra.

Ministry spokesperson, Sufyan Qudah, said that “Israel’s move violates the ceasefire agreement, posing a serious risk of renewed escalation in the besieged enclave.”

Qudah also urged Israel to end its use of starvation as a weapon against Palestinians, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, as reported by Petra.

The ministry called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by pressuring Israel to adhere to the ceasefire agreement, implement all of its terms, and reopen crossings to ensure the continued delivery of life-saving humanitarian aid to Gaza, which is facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
