VALLETTA, February 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Malta's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Ian Borg, reaffirmed that Gaza is Palestinian land and that Palestinians must have the right to determine its future.

His remarks came in response to an AI-generated video of Gaza shared by US President, Donald Trump, depicting Gaza as a luxury tourist destination featuring skyscrapers, Luxurious beachfront resorts and a golden statue of Trump himself.

Borg emphasized that Gaza belongs to the Palestinians and that foreign policy matters should be discussed through official diplomatic channels rather than public statements.

He stressed that any proposed projects for Gaza must be decided by the Palestinians themselves and underscored the importance of a two-state solution as the path to achieving peace.

It is worth noting that Malta maintains a clear stance on the Middle East, supporting a two-state solution and advocating for peace and security in the region.
