OIC condemns the Government of Fiji’s decision to move embassy to Occupied Jerusalem

JEDDAH, February 19, 2025 (WAFA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Wednesday condemned the Government of Fiji’s decision to move its embassy to the occupied city of Jerusalem.

The OIC expressed in a press statement “its rejection and condemnation of the decision of the Prime Minister of the Government of Fiji, Sitiveni Rabuka, to move his country's embassy to occupied Al-Quds.”

It slammed the decision as an “illegal measure” and “a provocative act and a flagrant violation of international law and all relevant United Nations resolutions, especially UN Security Council Resolution No. 478.”

The OIC affirmed that “the city of Al-Quds is part of the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967 according to all international legitimacy resolutions, calling on the Government of Fiji to reverse this illegal decision.”
