Arab Trade Union Confederation rejects calls for the displacement of Palestinians

RAMALLAH, February 14, 2025 (WAFA) – The Arab Trade Union Confederation has firmly rejected calls for the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, condemning them as a blatant violation of international law.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Arab Trade Union Confederation slammed such calls as a direct challenge to international legitimacy.

The Confederation further underscored that forced mass or individual displacement is classified as a war crime under Article 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

It also highlighted that the vast majority of civil society organizations have unequivocally rejected any attempt to forcibly displace Gaza’s residents, reaffirming that the Gaza Strip remains an integral part of Palestine.
