CAIRO, February 12, 2025 (WAFA) – The State of Palestine participated in the 115th high-level meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council, which convened on Wednesday in Cairo under Bahrain’s chairmanship.
Senior representatives from Arab ministries of trade, industry, finance, and economy gathered to finalize the agenda for the council’s ministerial session, scheduled for Thursday. The agenda covers key issues, particularly support for the Palestinian economy and the swift implementation of Palestine’s emergency response plan to address the repercussions of Israel’s aggression. Officials urged states, organizations, development agencies and international funding bodies to assist in funding and carrying out the plan in coordination with Palestine.
Additionally, the meeting underscored the urgent need for humanitarian aid to support families affected by Israel’s assault on Gaza and the West Bank.
