Jordan’s King reaffirms opposition to Palestinian displacement in meeting with Trump

WASHINGTON, February 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Jordan’s King Abdullah II has reiterated his country’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank.

Speaking on Tuesday after his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, King Abdullah emphasized that Jordan remains steadfast in rejecting any forced relocation of Palestinians, aligning with the unified Arab position.

"I reaffirmed Jordan's firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. This is the unified Arab position," the king stated. "Rebuilding Gaza without displacing its people and addressing the dire humanitarian situation must be a priority for all."

He also stressed the need to de-escalate tensions in the West Bank to prevent further deterioration, warning that continued unrest could have serious consequences for the entire region.

King Abdullah reiterated that a just peace based on a two-state solution remains the only viable path to stability in the region. "We will continue to play an active role with our partners to achieve a just and comprehensive peace for all," he affirmed.
