Israeli relentless bombardment of Gaza kills eight, injures others

GAZA, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli relentless bombardment of the blockaded Gaza Strip Tuesday evening killed eight Palestinians and injured others, according to a medical source.

He said that Israeli missiles targeted a house of all-Shobaki family in the Gaza city neighborhood of ad-Daraj, killing four Palestinians, including a toddler whose age did not exceed a year.

All of the fatalities were taken to the al-Ahli hospital, which used to be called Al-Mamadani.

He added that Israeli missiles also targeted a house in al-Tuffah neighborhood in central Gaza, killing four others, including two women and a minor.

Sued at the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 35,647 Palestinians and injuring over 79,852 others, noting that the figures only refer to the cases transported to hospitals and registered in the records of the Ministry of Health.

Just within the last 24 hours, the Israeli occupation committed five massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 85 documented fatalities and 200 injuries.

Moreover, at least 7,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
