GAZA, Thursday, May 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Dozens of civilians today were killed and others were injured in Israeli occupation artillery and aircraft bombardment on various areas of the Gaza Strip.
In Gaza City, medical sources reported that more than 30 civilians were killed since this morning, including ten children as the occupation warplanes targeted al-Ghafri, Jahjouh and al-Dalu families in the areas of Abu Iskandar, al-Sidra and al-Sahaba Street.
In the city of Rafah, at least four people were killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house south of the city.
Additionally, a civilian was also killed and others were wounded in a bombing that targeted Al-Awda Roundabout area in the center of the city, while the occupation artillery continued to target Khirbet Al-Adas and Al-Geneina neighborhood east of the city.
Simultaneously, journalist Mohammad Jahjouh along with members of his family were killed as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted their house in the northern Gaza Strip.
The occupation warplanes launched intense raids on al-Hoja Street area in the Jabalia refugee camp, which led to the complete destruction of a residential neighborhood.
At least five people were wounded in an Israeli drone targeting Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Kindergarten in the Al-Faluga area.
The number of people killed since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7th, 2023, has risen to 35,233. Some 79,141 have been wounded.
