RAMALLAH, Monday, July 10, 2023 (WAFA) - The Israeli occupation forces today prevented work from proceeding on an agricultural road in the town of Atara, north of Ramallah, and confiscated the drilling equipment,

Ghosoun Rimawi, the town's engineer, told WAFA that the occupation forces ordered the workers in the area to stop working on the agricultural road located southeast of the town under the pretext that it is an archaeological site where work is prohibited.

She pointed out that the area is classified as B, which is under Palestinian administration and Israeli security, stressing that the municipality has the necessary licenses to build the road.

Rimawi pointed out that the soldiers seized the telephones and identity papers of the municipality staff and workers who were present at the site apparently to prevent them from making calls or taking pictures.

The road is intended to enable farmers to reach their lands, she said.
