DAMASCUS, Sunday, July 2, 2023 (WAFA) – Israel launched missile strikes last night on Syria aimed at targets near the central city of Homs, but Syrian air defenses downed most of the missiles, according to Syrian state media.
The state-run SANA news agency quoted an army statement as saying that the missiles flew over parts of Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, before hitting locations in the vicinity of the government-held city of Homs.
The missiles resulted only in material damage, according to SANA.
