RAMALLAH, Thursday, June 22, 2023 (WAFA) - Exports decreased in April by 25% compared to March, while they increased by 1% compared to April 2022 and reached $112.4 million, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
Exports to Israel decreased in April by 24% compared to March, representing 87% of total exports in April.
At the same time, exports to other countries decreased by 26% during the same period compared to March.
Imports also decreased in April by 21% compared to March. They also decreased by 13% compared to April 2022 and reached $581.2 million.
Imports from Israel decreased by 14% in April compared to March and they represented 59% of total imports in April.
At the same time, imports from other countries decreased by 29% compared to March
The trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed a decrease in trade deficit by 20% in April compared to March. It also decreased by 15% compared to April 2022 and reached $468.8 million.
