RAMALLAH, Friday, June 9, 2023 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to cloudy, unseasonably hot to extremely hot, dry and occasionally dusty in daytime with a rise in temperature, which approaches 5°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Scattered rainfall is expected with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. Partly cloudy and relatively cold conditions prevail in the night with a chance of scattered rainfall and thunderstorms. Light to moderate southeasterly to southwesterly wind blows in daytime, while moderate northwesterly wind blows in the night and is set to pick up. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 19°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 31°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 41°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to plummet and become seasonal on Saturday, paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and fair conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions, particularly in the mountains, in the night.

Sunday’s temperature is set to further slightly drop and become unseasonably low, paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and fair conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in the night, particularly in the mountains.

No significant change is expected in the weather conditions on Monday.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sun for long period and setting fire to dry grassy areas on Friday.
