NABLUS, Friday, May 5, 2023 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation army today handed over the bodies of slain Odai Shami, Jihad Shami and Mohammad Dabik to the Palestinian side at a checkpoint in the north of the West Bank, about 50 days after the three were shot dead and their bodies subsequently seized by Israeli occupation forces, according to the WAFA correspondent.
The three Palestinian young men were shot dead by Israeli army gunfire on March 12 while they were inside a vehicle near the Israeli military checkpoint of Sarra, west of Nablus, and their bodies had been taken away by the Israeli army ever since.
According to Palestinian reports, Israel is withholding the bodies of more than 110 Palestinians its forces have killed since 2015 or died in prison, including 10 minors, eight prisoners, and three women, as well as the corpses of 256 Palestinians killed in action since 1967 and buried at what is known as “numbers cemetery” in the north of Israel. The graves are identified by numbers instead of the names of those buried there.
