JENIN, Friday, April 28, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli forces today detained a Palestinian and injured four others in the northern West Bank city and camp of Jenin, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that a sizable army force barged its way into the city and camp and snipers took positions on the rooftops of residential buildings, sparking violent confrontations.

The soldiers opened live gunfire towards local young men attempting to block their passage, injuring two; a child by bullet shrapnel and a young man by a live round in the thigh.

They raided a coffee shop in the camp, leaving behind extensive destruction, before detaining a Palestinian.

Large explosions rocked the camp, with images showing a plume of white smoke rising from a building.

The soldiers prevented ambulances from entering the camp to evacuate the injured and opened fire towards an ambulance. Two paramedics were injured by the shards of glass.
