NAZARETH, Friday, April 7, 2023 (WAFA) – Extremist Israeli settlers last night set a number of Palestinian-owned vehicles on fire and spray-painted racist graffiti on walls after sneaking into the Arab-majority town of Kafr Qasem in the 1948-occupied territory, according to local sources.
Witnesses said a group of Israeli settlers from the so-called ‘price tag’ terror group torched several vehicles and spray-painted anti-Arab slogans on walls and vehicles, as well as partially vandalized other parked vehicles.
The phrase "price tag" is notorious, associated with a string of violent attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank and in Israel over the past years. It refers to a loosely organized movement of extremist Israelis protesting the evacuation and demolition of illegal settlements in the West Bank.
The name refers to the price the extremists seek to extract for the loss of each outpost.
The Israeli settler violence comes amid rising tensions following Israeli occupation forces’ raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem and assaults on Muslim worshipers praying peacefully at the holy site, Islam’s third holiest place of worship.
