Injuries during confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in Beit Ummar

HEBRON, Friday, February 24, 2024 (WAFA) - A Palestinian young man was injured by live Israeli shots and others suffocated from teargas this evening during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Ummar, to the north of Hebron, according to local sources.

Mohammad Awad, a local Palestinian activist, told WAFA that confrontations erupted between Palestinian residents and Israeli occupation forces at the entrance to the town, as troops tried to block a funeral procession from crossing the Israeli military checkpoint at the entrance to the town.

He said the Israeli occupation soldiers fired live shots and teargas canisters at the protesters, injuring one of them with live shots in his foot. Others suffocated from teargas inhalation, he added.
